It was a long ride to all the 4 places with no stop for a proper meal for all of us and was such a short stop for picture taking !ĭo check with the driver / guide before the start of the tour to make sure no surprises along the way. The Tour Operator shld provide what we had booked & expected for the tours. We eventually managed to go there so instead of 3 tours that we booked we got extra 1 more tour ! The places we covered Heidelberg / Baden- Baden / Black Forrest & Strausbourg ! He mentioned that the Strausbourg tour will not be included ! Another guy & myself was quite upset and told him we still wsnt to go to Strausbourg. the 3 if us ( including myself) did not booked this tour. However half way thru the journey he mentioned Heildeberg tour is included in our tour. Mr Willy is very knowledgeable sharing alot of Germsn history with us. There were 5 of us in the group with Mr Willy our driver & guide for the day. We had booked Black Forest & Strasbourg Day Trip frm Frankfurt on. I paid so much money to see around and click pictures, not to sit in bus.

We reached city by 7.15 where in tour it says 9 PM we will be back, means he didn't give us any free time so that we can back to city early.
From there we went to Strasbourg and same thing even there we just took us for walk around the town center we wanted to get inside the church he said it will take too much time as there is que, me and another girl had to beg him just for five 5 minute to buy a fridge magnet in Strasbourg, he was not stopping any where to click pictures again. From there we left for Black Forest we stopped there for 30 minutes only to buy souvenir, have black forest cake and clicking pictures( in itinerary it says one hour ). We took a walk in Baden Baden he was accompanying us there was no free time given to us ,not even 15 minutes for clicking pictures, he was just running around every where.

Our guide was Willy he was good and knowledge full no doubt but he didn't stop any where for clicking pictures. This is totally a bus tour you sit entire day in bus. I took this tour on 3rd of August, Black Forest was in my list for long time and I was very excited for this tour till I board the bus. Still, it was very rushed and we ended feeling a complete waste of time and money. Our driver was trying and drove us through some of the beautiful areas to do his best to ensure we're seeing the best of the area. I would have paid more to have a nice lunch somewhere. Our lunch that was included was 2 slices of bread with either a slice of cold cut or cheese and bottled water in the car. I would have loved to have spent more time there and when I booked, I thought I'd be walking through parts of the Black Forest, instead, I walked through the parking lot to the shop and back to the car. The highlight, The Black Forest, was a 15 minute stop with just enough time to buy a postcard and eat a quick slice of cake. Of course, you're also racing to find the restroom after eating and drinking along the way (not very easy at times). We felt like we were playing "Amazing Race" rushing from town to town trying to see the highlights before we run back to the car to race off to our next site. That would have been fine but we already had a very full schedule. In order to give him his requested site we had an extra stop. That was fine but he had a stop not scheduled on this tour. There were enough people on his tour so he was added to this tour. First, we had someone on our tour who wanted another tour. Our guide was very informative and kind but, the tour itself left alot to be desired. I try to be positive and this tour was a much anticipated tour. A walk along the river or perhaps a stop at some shops would have been nicer.
Wine tasting was even in a darker, more cluttered room. (Keep in mind most would have not eaten since breakfast and it’s now 4 pm). Since meals were pre-ordered I found it odd that the food was not ready within a few minutes of arrival. Plastic grapes and vines and mermaids and and and. You will pass beautiful cafes along the river to go into your restaurant which is a hoarders paradise. The restaurant could just be described as odd. Those big German names just don’t stick when verbally told. A timeline of the days events with a written note of what stop to get off at (on the boat). Would be nice to know that your one meal stop wouldn’t be until 4 pm. Things I would improve: more detailed itinerary. Views were fantastic, castles, vineyards and quaint towns. The boat also clean and modern, on time, and as the weather was great we could sit on the top deck. The bus was clean and modern the driver was very good. It was wonderful to get out of the city and see the famous Rhine Valley.
